Florida watercolor artist Cara Roy continues to create works with the tropical style people have grown to love. With her use of exciting color, image, and design, Cara captures the tropical Florida lifestyle with bold interior scenes and lush floral landscapes. Taking inspiration from  her travels throughout Southern latitudes, she blends vibrant colors with strong composition to create striking underwater images and exotic wildlife in their natural habitats.

Cara also enjoys exploring the architectural side of painting. Revealing the personality of a house through perspective, depth, and shadow from a flat piece of paper intrigues her. Her fascination with house portraits has led her to many commissions which showcase her careful and effective use of color and fidelity to subject and composition. Cara keeps her creative side fresh by painting what she wants to paint - a practice that always lends itself to her best works.

Cara is well known in the art community and is always eager to show her support for worthy causes through donations of her artwork as well as service on the Boards of several artistic and educational foundations. Cara's work hangs in the private collections of Jimmy Buffet and movie producer Ed Feldman, and several of her works appeared in the Paramount Pictures movie The Truman Show. Her work is also included in many other corporate and private collections internationally.

Cara's artwork was chosen for Island Scene,
a guidebook for Sanibel Island.
